Crushed During Collapse                         Original photo © Tim Jones

The four hoof print carvings that were found on a small section of rock laying on the pathway below the cliff are no longer there because they were crushed by the edge of the cliff that collapsed in 2002. They were carved on a boulder that had fallen earlier from the cliff. Only a few people ever saw these, and they no longer exist. This will be the fate of other carvings above that are about to fall in the near future. There seems to be little effort being made to protect these carvings. This is why The Friends have designed this Web site and are working to have every carving recorded for all to see.
